Oh, those lovely storks!

A quick aside little piece tonight.   The storks.   Here is a link http://www.kmm-language.com/poland_00001a.htm to read and see pictures of the storks.   They were at one point losing population in Northeastern Poland, where they do populate.  They are much beloved, and we began to be obsessed by finding their nests and seeing them.  Their nests are HUGE, and generally are built on a telephone poll.  They say that if a stork builds a nest on your house, it will bring you good luck and many children.  (Hence, the old adage about them)
Anyway, they are very large, beautiful white birds;   we saw many, many on the road to Kyrnki, in Bialystok, and in Augustow.  As we neared Warsaw today, we didn't see anymore, they really tend to be in northwest Poland.  Anyway, we really enjoyed them.
